PRAXIS Africa is the continent's gathering for public relations and communications leaders.

The PRAXIS Africa segment, part of the second edition of Africa Global PR Week (AGPRW) in Nairobi this August, marks PRAXIS’ launch on the African continent. The session will convene senior PR and communications leaders for high-level, substantive dialogue - continuing the tradition that has defined PRAXIS across 14 years and three continents. Scheduled from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, the segment sits within AGPRW 2026’s theme, “Redefining Africa: Africa as a Brand,” which strongly aligns with Earned First’s belief that the world’s fastest-growing communications markets are no longer content to be defined by others.

Beyond the Western Playbook: Communications from the Global South

For too long, global communications frameworks have been written in the West and exported everywhere else. Practitioners across Africa, Asia and India are building something different: models shaped by local context, rooted in community, and designed to shift policy, not just perception. This panel brings together three leaders from the Global South to explore what communications looks like when it is developed on our own terms — and what the discipline stands to gain when more voices set the agenda.
